As you might be aware, the taxes system will change with the launch of GST and all businesses are expected to be ready for roll out of GST by 1st July 2017. Due to this there will be certain changes in WIPL’s billing system.
GST has a strong reporting model for the tax collected. For this, each business will now have to provide their Goods and Services Tax Identification Number (GSTIN) when collecting or paying taxes. You can update your GSTIN (provisional or final) in the profile section of your WIPL Portal or by going to the following link:
Update your GSTIN by either of the following methods
1) Login at https://manage.wiplon.com
2) Go to Edit Your Profile as shown in the image below
3) Now, under your profile section fill the GSTIN no in the box as shown in the image and click SAVE.
You can also update your GSTIN no by going to the form at : https://goo.gl/forms/
Changes in Service Tax charged
We currently charge a Service Tax of 15% on the services. As per the guidelines issued by the Government of India, this will change to a GST of 18% from 00:00:00 Hrs, 1st July 2017 for all payments automatically.
Please note that all taxes charged from 1st July 2017 onwards will be reported on GST. If your GSTIN is not available to us, you may not be able to claim any tax benefits on it. Hence, it’s imperative that you update your GSTIN by 1st July on our dashboard.
In case of any query on this, please write to us at billing@myWIPL.com and we’d be happy to help.
