Knowledgebase: Domain and Dns
Once my domain name is registered, can anyone else take it?

As long as your domain is registered to your name, all the required fees are paid and it's not in breach of any law, trademark or copyright, nobody else can either use it or take it without your consent.

As an added security measure, your domain will be automatically locked so that it cannot be transferred to another person or registrar without identification documents from you. It will be unlocked only when you choose to use your own DNS servers or requested by you.
